Stop, Reflect and Move Forward Knowing…

As I note my thoughts in this writing, I am looking ahead a few months. I usually write about current astrological aspects but in this writing, I am looking ahead to September of this year. Why? Because I have noted many planets are retrograde including Jupiter , Saturn , Uranus , Neptune , and Pluto , which all will be retrograde both September and October of this year. And actually for the last 3 weeks of September, Mercury is also retrograde, wow. Having astrological information in advance, gives us the opportunity to prepare.

When planets are retrograde, they are asking us to look inwards for answers. These are times of introspection and reflection which by doing so, gives us the chance to process the events of our lives. To be the most successful, we have to, observe what is happening, implement a plan of action, assess the results and make adjustments as necessary; these steps are helpful in most areas of life.

Retrograde planets are built in opportunities to slow down, assess the trajectory of our life’s path, make the necessary adjustments and then move forward in a more knowledgeable direction.

Much has been written about Mercury retrograde but briefly, suffices to say it is a time of re’s: re-view, re-do, re-think, re-consider, etc. We have the chance to re-visit our thoughts and ideas to see if they are still valid or if they were ever valid.

Stop, Reflect and Move Forward

Jupiter also holds province in the areas of higher education, faith, confidence, religion, laws and foreign lands. With Jupiter Rx (Rx the symbol for retrograde in Astrology), we may reflect on  whether we have made the right choices in these areas of life. We may question our faith or our religious institutions becoming more or less religious depending on our assessments and how the energy unfolds in our charts.

Saturn has dominion over the structure of our lives such as our status, careers and station in life. Saturn also rules karma. So when Saturn retrogrades, we may reflect on how we have treated others in order to attain our goals. Have we been harsh or unfair? This deliberation can be a good thing as we may feel as though we have been fair and thoughtful in our dealings with people and if so, we may have peace. If on the other hand, our self-assessment comes up short in the careers we have chosen for ourselves or in our dealings with others, we can decide to course correct.

Uranus is the planet of the liberation. Known as The Awakener, Uranus wants to deliver us from boredom, ruts and routine. People have a tendency to resist change finding safety in what is known. Sometimes we need to shake things up for our own good. In retrospect, many admit that they resisted change initially only to discover that change was the best thing that ever happened to them. Uranus can have this kind of impact on us. When Uranus is retrograde, we may want to make sweeping, life changes. We do have free will in how we make changes however take care not to go overboard or be too extreme.

Neptune is associated with spirituality, art, dreams, imagination, addiction, fantasy, magic, illusion, delusion and compassion. Neptune is retrograde about forty percent of every year so it’s retrograde for a large part of our lives. When Neptune is moving direct, we can be lulled into seeing things through rose-colored glasses. We can be confused not distinguishing between what is real or what we want to be real. When Neptune retrogrades, we have the opportunity to take off the rose-colored glasses and see things more in black and white. The truth may be difficult and some people may feel disoriented. However, a healthy, realistic self assessment could just be what the doctor or Neptune Rx ordered. Now, we can kick that freeloading partner out who has been pretending to look for a job for six months.

Pluto rules transformation, transmutation, alchemy, death, rebirth, power, control and the underworld. When Pluto retrogrades, we may have a dark night of the soul experience where we feel lost and alone. Many of our deep, dark fears surface that we can no longer ignore. We are asked to review our lives at a very deep, intense level. For some, the best way to face this inner plutonic darkness is with a counselor or in psychoanalysis. This time could result in the most transformative time in one’s life causing people to start life anew.

Life is about development and growth. Life is not haphazard although at times it may seem that our lives are out of our control but each day the sun rises, and each night the moon lights up the night; we live in the rhythm of the universe. Just as the earth has seasons, so do we. There is a time to sow and a time to reap, a time to act and a time to reflect. We are part of the wonder of it all.

We experience the seasons of life:
There are times when we shine boldly in the summer sun
and there are times in the quiet of winter,
we reflect on what we have become.

Watch 👁 the video: SUN 🌞 SEXTILE URANUS ♅: DO THE OTHER PART OF YOU

The Only Thing Constant Is Change…

As I note my thoughts in this writing, Sun 🌞 in Cancer is sextile Uranus in Taurus . This aspect will be in effect through the weekend. Although my thoughts in this writing is about the Sun sextile Uranus, also of note, we have a Full Moon in Capricorn approaching Wednesday, the 13th. I will post more about this full moon next week on my website and other social media platforms.

A sextile is when planets are sixty degrees apart. In astrology, this is considered a positive aspect bringing ease and flow between the planets involved. I liken this energy to the elevating characteristics of the planet Venus. We may find in the areas of our chart where the Sun and Uranus are presently transiting, there is an easier flow available for us to move forward.

The Sun is the giver of life; it is the force around which all the other planets in our solar system evolve. In astrology, the sun represents our vitality, creativity, passion. In our astrology charts, the sun is the energy we can rely on when we find ourselves feeling weakened or depleted. For instance, if your sun is in the fire signs,: Aries, Leo and Sagittarius, you feel more alive when you are fueled by passion and creativity. Sun in air signs: Gemini, Libra and Aquarius, ideas and intellectual pursuits are a driving force. If you are an earth sign: Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn, having tangible security in life such as financial stability is a primal drive. Water signs: Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces, are fortified when they are able to express their emotions.

The planet Uranus is associated with freedom, rebellion, genius and the unexpected. Also known as “The Awakener”, Uranus can free of us from ruts when we are too rooted to routine. Uranus is that lightening bolt that comes along and shakes life up. Sometimes the flashes of change are so sudden and unexpected, its effects can be disorienting causing us to make alterations in our lives that lead to fresh starts, new beginnings.

Expect The Unexpected

When the energies of Uranus are highlighted, we find ourselves wanting to make changes or at least be free to express who we truly are. In our everyday world, we have to conform to the rules of society and sometimes this causes us to subdue some part of ourselves that may not be acceptable to society. With Uranus aspects, depending on how strong the aspect is in our chart, we may make small changes like changing the position of furniture in our house, or maybe adopt a new hair style. However, we can make radical changes such as leaving a twenty-year marriage or quitting your job as CEO of a company or deciding to change careers altogether. Perhaps the Wall Street executive decides to pursue a career as a rock star. This metamorphosis may affect you personally or you may witness it in others.

This aspect occurring now, sun making an easy flowing sextile to Uranus, gives us the opportunity to make changes but is not as strong as the trine aspect which involves the easy flow of energy amongst three planets or as challenging as the 90-degree square aspect. Even so, sextiles are helpful; they are even more helpful when we are aware of their occurrences as then we can consciously make use of their helpful vibrations.

If you find yourself feeling anxious this weekend or you feel like you just want to do something different, the energy is here to support you. There is a caveat, make sure you don’t make drastic changes you may regret when the weekend ends and Monday begins.

Be yourself and do something different but remember, the sun, the life giver, and Uranus, “The Awakener”, not only represent personal freedom but represents the condition of society as a whole. When we make innovative changes that invigorate us as individuals, we affect the whole of society as each of us is connected.

We are each but a cog in the wheel of life however, as our journey moves us forward, we take the universe with us.

Watch the video: MARS ♂ SQUARE PLUTO ♇… BE AWARE AND CHOOSE

Watch Out For Power Struggles…

As I note my thoughts in this writing, Mars , in Aries , is in an exact 90-degree square aspect to Pluto in Capricorn . A square aspect is an aspect of tension and calls for us to act whether we are ready to act or not.

The tension between Aries and Capricorn arises from the fact that they are of different polarities: Aries is an outgoing, masculine force while Capricorn is feminine and receptive. In addition, although both initiate seasons, spring begins with Aries and winter has its inception in Capricorn, Aries and Capricorn are of different elements: Aries, fire and Capricorn, earth.

I liken this to an older sister who is babysitting her younger brother one evening. She just wants to relax, listen to music or watch a romantic movie but her younger brother is revved up wanting to listen to loud music and watch an action- packed muscle movie. The two can negotiate some type of understanding in order to tolerate one another or they can fight it out.

When planets transit through the signs, they take on the qualities of that sign. It’s like when you travel. You check into a hotel room and you find there is only a queen bed but you’re used to a king-sized bed. Although your hotel room has cable, it’s not the cable you are used to so you can’t watch your favorite shows. You are used to the comforts of home but you adjust to the environment you’re in. The same is true of the planets: they are more comfortable in their home signs but their energy is modified according to the frequency of the zodiac sign in which they are transiting.

Mars feels very comfortable in Aries as this is its home sign. Pluto is a modern planet as it was just discovered in 1930 and is the co-ruler of Scorpio. Mars is action oriented with the drive to expend the energy needed to attain its desires. Pluto is the power broker of the planets; its power transforms and transmutes.

Cool Down The Heat

Today Mars and Pluto are in a tense relationship which will be in affect for the next 3-4 days. At this time, we may find ourselves in power struggles: others wanting to dominate us or we may try to inflict our will on others. Either way, be careful of power plays and manipulation.

As the saying goes, “it takes two to tangle”, so if you find yourself at odds with others, try not to let tempers fly. Take the temperature of any heated situation and if its starting to boil over, pull back. A lot of times we argue about things that are inconsequential.

When we are aware of the cosmic currents, we can decide to catch a ride or wait for the next wave. We have free will and when we combine our free will with the knowledge and power of Astrology, we are a force to be reckoned with not because we are aggressive but because we better understand ourselves, others and can work to elevate the whole of the universe.

Watch: GOiNG WiTHiN TO INNER FEELiNGS 🧘‍♀️

Beyond The Five Senses…

As I note my thoughts in this writing, we have a New Moon 🌚 in Cancer , the moon’s domain sign, June 28th and Neptune  retrogrades in Pisces  also on June 28th just before our new moon commences. Although Neptune does not retrograde until the 28th, it has been hovering over 25 degrees of Pisces and will continue to do so for the whole of June. Planets are more powerful when they station and thus its influence can definitely be felt especially so for those whose Neptune is accentuated in their natal Astrology charts.
The new moon in Cancer, a cardinal sign of feminine water energy, is associated with nurturing and the more nurturing parent be it mother or father, home, security, sensitivity, habits, moods, deep emotions taking root from our earliest beginnings shaped by our interactions with our environment. Just like the habits we perform everyday without even thinking about it, at this time, we may be prone to doing or saying things that are based more in emotion than rational thought.
How we feel is more prevalent in Cancer and probably why Cancerians are sometimes referred to as moody. The moon makes its trek through the zodiac in roughly 30 days thereby taking on the tone of each sign it is transiting and can explain the “moodiness” associated with these natives. In comparison, the sun makes the same trek in a year and some planets take years to make a full transit through all the zodiac signs.
We also have the energies of Neptune highlighted at this time. Neptune, as all planets, displays the duality of our 3-D reality here on earth. The elevating frequency of Neptune resonates with intuition, inspiration, compassion, unconditional love, creativity, dreams, ideals and extra-sensory perception. On the opposite side of the spectrum, Neptune is also associated with confusion, delusion, deception, illusion, drug addiction, alcoholism and escapism.
Onward and Upward
In this writing and video, the more uplifting qualities of Neptune are presented. The world has a a plethora of conflict and adversity that we can focus on but we can lift the frequency of our planet earth not by hiding from reality but by consciously bringing forth the beauty of Neptune.
Astrology makes us aware of the energies. If a meteorologist predicts rain, we take an umbrella; if that meteorologist predicts blistering hot temperatures, we apply sunscreen; if high storm winds are predicted, we don’t go out in sailboats.
When we know there is a new moon in nourishing Cancer and we know compassionate Neptune is stationing all month readying to retrograde, we can plan to make the most of these cosmic currents: we can offer hope where there is despair; we can offer stability where there is uncertainty and we can offer love where there is hate.
At this time, the earth and we, the people of the earth, have the knowledge and power to make our home a peaceful, lush, inviting paradise. A place where all living things feel uplifted, alive and looking forward to each glorious day!

VENUS ♀: VIXEN Or VICTIM?

VENUS Is More Than A Pretty Face

As I note my thoughts in this writing, the planet Venus in the sign of Taurus is square the planet Saturn in the sign of Aquarius , June 18th. Venus, still in Taurus, will then trine the planet Pluto, in Capricorn , on June 21st.

Venus is the star of the show at this time and actually her influence is accentuated as she has domain over the North Node presently in her sign of Taurus.

Venus is the goddess of love, beauty, money, relationships, the arts, harmony, diplomacy, the five senses and sensual pleasures. As such, these fields of experience will be emphasized at this time.

About 2-3 days before June 18th and about 2-3 days after, Venus will be challenged, a square, by Saturn, the planet of restriction and limitation. Although Venus is at home in the sign of Taurus, she will feel the restrictive influence from Saturn inhibiting her natural tendencies.

At this time with Venus’ energies suppressed, we may find ourselves feeling more alone and isolated. If you are normally a cheerful, gregarious person, you may be less so. If you are normally an introvert, you may be even moreso. If we are aware of the celestial influences, then we can adjust accordingly. Perhaps for these few days, we can use our free will to make an effort to employ behaviors that best suit her temperament thereby favorably balancing possible negative engagement with others. Remember, this particular Venus/Saturn energy is in effect for a few days. However the effects of slighting others during difficult transits, could have long-lasting effects.

The other aspect of note as mentioned above, is the trine to Venus from Pluto. The trine is an easy flowing aspect allowing us to plug in to more free-flowing energies.

Pluto is a very powerful planet as it rules death, rebirth and renewal, transformation, transmutation, the occult and generally things that are hidden beneath the surface. Pluto’s transformational power is evident in those who turn their lives around in a major way such as  drug addicts who clean up their lives and go on to become loving and reliable parents, good neighbors and members of the community. Or people who make dramatic changes in their appearance: cosmetic surgery or lose huge amounts of weight and seem to become different people.

What’s It All About?

With the easy flowing frequencies between Venus and Pluto, we may expect and see changes in ourselves and in our interactions with others. This could be a good time to smooth over misunderstandings as others may be more receptive to the feelings you express. This may also be a good time to start a new health and fitness regimen, take stock of your investments, put together an effective debt repayment plan.

The Venus/Saturn square challenges, overlap with the free-flowing energies of the Venus/Pluto trine. Being aware of the astrological climate is important but knowing where these aspects unfold in your Astrology would be even more helpful in showing where these aspects affect you personally.

Astrology has many benefits: helps us to understand ourselves better, helps us to better understand our communities, the universe and our place in it, to better understand the depths and dimensions of life, to better understand the inner workings of life that we do not consciously comprehend every minute of the day but affects who we are and how we live our lives.

But perhaps the advantage of knowing and practicing Astrology, is to know the celestial bodies are part of who we are and by understanding them, we better understand ourselves

ARE YOU ENCHANTED 💭, GROUNDED 🌳 OR BOTH?

It’s Your Choice…

As I note my thoughts in this writing, we are approaching a full moon in Sagittarius on June 14th. At this time, we also have Neptune making a square, 90 degrees, aspect to this full moon while at the same time we have Saturn making a trine, 120 degrees, aspect. Trines are easy flowing while squares are more challenging as they are a call to act.

This is a very interesting full moon as it gives us the opportunity to experience opposing influences at the same time.

Neptune is a more spiritual, dreamy, intuitive, ethereal, enchanting, unlimited expression of energy. These very qualities help in artistic endeavors. Neptune is the higher octave of Venus taking creativity and art to another plane. But because Neptune’s boundaries are not clearly defined, when its energies are highlighted, could bring delusion, confusion, uncertainty and deception including self-deception.

But do not be discouraged with Neptune’s more challenging influences because at the same time, we have Saturn making a trine to the sun and a sextile, a lesser 60-degree ‘good’ aspect to the moon. ‘Good’ is distinguished here to make note of the fact that ‘good’ aspects do not necessarily bring what most would call nice or happy outcomes but do allow energies to flow more easily. Just as ‘bad’ aspects do not always result in negative outcomes as we can make important strides in our development when tensions are stirred within us.

On the other hand, Saturn also referred to as Father Time, the taskmaster, wants us to be responsible, disciplined, mature, grounded and hardworking. ‘Keeping our nose to the grindstone’ can result in burn out from overwork and a lack of joy in life. Saturn is exalted in the sign of Libra, balance. Ancient philosophers remind us: “moderation in all things”.

With a full moon in Sagittarius, naturally we think about the sign’s qualities as they will color the character of this full moon. The Sagittarius archetype is known for optimism, adventure, knowledge, friendliness, philosophy and truth so we all may experience these qualities to some extent depending on our own individual astrological charts. Although Saj qualities sound very inviting, of course, there is another side to Saj as well such as over exaggeration, over confidence, arrogance, restlessness and recklessness.

When this Sagittarius full moon receives a call to action, a square, from Neptune, we may find ourselves feeling confused but at the same time feeling arrogant and over confident. This is a potent mixture which could lead to less than desirable results.

What Do You Choose?

Fortunately, we do have contemporaneous energies that round the Neptune, full moon square influence: Saturn trine the sun. The sun rules strength, vitality and will power. This is a beautiful energy happening right on time. We can use the mature energy of Saturn, will power of the sun to ground the arrogant confusion which we may either display ourselves or witness in our interactions with others.

The frequencies at this full moon are a perfect time to observe the workings of Astrology and where the age-old question of free will and fate can be tested. Astrology helps us to understand the impact of cosmic weather on our lives. The question of free will and fate can be examined at the very time of this Sagittarius full moon since the Astrology of this time has identified the opposing qualities of Neptunian confusion versus the grounding Saturnian qualities. Will you be more daydreamy or down-to-earth?

Knowledge is power. The Astrology has made us consciously aware of the cosmic currents.

Now, what does your free will choose?

You can just go with the flow and see how things turn out or you can consciously decide to check for behaviors in yourself and others and correct adverse behaviors by redirecting them when possible but being aware makes all the difference, check and correct.

In the wake of turbulent cross currents, we can lose ourselves in a fog of turbulence or we can course correct choosing calmer shores to bask in the sunshine, smell the salt air and feel the cool breeze.

KARMA: TAKiNG iNVENTORY 📖 OF YOUR LiFE

The Cycles Of Life…

As I note my thoughts in this writing, Mercury ☿ is stationing in Taurus ♉ readying to go direct June 3rd while Saturn ♄ is stationing in Aquarius ♒ preparing to go retrograde June 4th. When planets station, their energy is more concentrated making them more powerful. Mercury ingresses into Gemini ♊ June 13th and Saturn remains in the sign of Aquarius until March of 2023.

People who know nothing or little about Astrology have at least heard of Mercury retrograde most likely because it is the planet of communication and retrogrades at least three times per year more often than any other planet.

Saturn is a gas-giant planet that lies beyond the personal, terrestrial planets of Mercury, Venus and Mars (Astrologers also refer to our prominent luminaries, Sun and Moon, as planets).

Saturn reflects wisdom, maturity, responsibility, discipline and karma. Observations of the planets and their effects on us have been made universally by peoples all over the globe for centuries. Saturn has been  associated with karma has through the centuries.

Anatomically, among Saturn’s rulership are teeth, the skeleton and skin. This is interesting as the skin is the outermost layer setting the boundaries of who we are. The skin is the physical boundary separating one person from the other. This is another example of how Saturn sets boundaries, limits.

Our purpose here on earth is to grow and develop. When we take our first breath, we transition from spiritual beings into physical beings and into the dense manifestation and gravitational pull of life here on earth. Saturn shows where this dense, gravitational pull in our lives to grow and develop as human beings is by way of our astrological charts further defining our purpose in this incarnation.

The moon’s nodes are also associated with karma. The lunar nodes, north and south, are more broadly understood when examined as a pair. The lunar nodes are points in the sky where the Sun’s path, ecliptic, and the Moon’s path cross. This happens a few times a year, during which we experience the astrological phenomenon known as eclipses.

The point at which the moon crosses the plane of the ecliptic when moving in a northerly direction is called the ascending moon’s node or north node. Two weeks later the moon intersects the ecliptic plane going in a southerly direction and this point of intersection is called the moon’s south node. The north node, sign and house, is the path forward in this lifetime assisting in the acquisition of earthly experiences that help us develop. The south node represents areas of life we have experienced previously and perhaps feel comfortable with.

Nothing Lasts Forever

The placements of the karmic nodes and Saturn, the planet of karma, together give even more information on the native’s karmic path.

Presently, The nodes and Saturn are in fixed signs: north node in Taurus, south node in Scorpio and Saturn in Aquarius. These placements are in what Astrologers call a t-square aspect which is considered a challenging aspect.

This is a time of karmic accounting globally and individually. For those with planets and placements in the fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius, currently seem to be more reflective about their lives looking at their past choices and how those choices have produced the circumstances of their lives today.

This is definitely understandable as challenges seem to be coming from all aspects of their lives. The intensity of this period for these fixed-sign individuals depends on how many planets/placements are in fixed signs and the degrees. Presently, Saturn is stationing at 25 degrees in Aquarius (of note, Mercury is also stationing at 26 degrees Taurus) and the nodes are at 22 degrees. The fixed-sign degrees of from around 22 degrees to 28 degrees seem to be particularly challenging for some now.

This is not an easy time by any means for those with an emphasis on fixed signs. In fact, this would be an excellent time to consult with an Astrologer. Although, just as the only thing that is constant is change, astrological cycles don’t last forever; there are endings to cycles. No, being aware of astrological cycles doesn’t lessen or change the cycles themselves but being informed about cycles can help you to prepare and respond in a more measured way.

There are times in life when we feel as though things are spinning out of our control. Of course, the events that are happening are important but how we respond is even more important. I have seen people with pronounced fixed-sign energies face extremely difficult and sometimes life-altering events with grace.

In terms of dealing with adversity, a public figure that comes to mind is Muhammad Ali. Ali was a heavyweight champion boxer and one of the greatest sporting figures of the 20th century. An Olympic gold medalist and the first fighter to capture the heavyweight title three times in his 21-year professional career. Also, he was the most popular figure in the world. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease which caused a great decline in his physical abilities affecting his speech and physical mobility. However, he did not become a recluse. He still would make public appearances and in fact, lit the Olympic torch, which was witnessed by millions around the world, when it seemed his medical condition wouldn’t allow such a fete.

To my fixed-sign friends, “hang in there.” Just as the sun rises and sets, just as the ocean tides ebb and flow, you will again feel the warm kiss of the sun and the easy flow of the cosmic currents.

Let’s go!

👁 the video: POWER: i’VE 💪🏽 GOT iT

Our drive for power

As I note my thoughts in this writing, Mercury is continuing its retrograde motion until June 3rd, 2022 and is currently trining Pluto May 28th. Mars is conjoining Jupiter in Aries and Venus ♀, in Aries, is in a difficult square aspect to Pluto in Capricorn . All of this planetary activity is occurring as we approach a new moon in Gemini May 30th. The universe is in perpetual motion producing cosmic vibrations and cycles within cycles.

Delineating the aspects of planetary movements is both a science and an art.

In my interactions both personally and professionally, I am finding a lot of people resonating with the Mars conjunct Jupiter and Venus square Pluto planetary aspects. Mars activates us to go after what we desire and now joining Jupiter, this Mars-Jupiter influence is amplified. Venus has dominion over our personal resources and Pluto is pure, raw power. Cross currents between these two, could get heated fast.

The world has been on lockdown for two years and this Mars-Jupiter conjunction is motivating people to want to break free and act on their urges. The urge to go to the movies, to travel, to interact and communicate with people face-to-face. The Venus-Pluto square although is a short transit, is showing up as some wanting to have power over others.

We know humans have basic, innate drives: the drive for self-preservation, the drive to form bonds and the drive to procreate. But also, humans and other life forms have the drive for power. We talk about the ‘alpha male’ and the ‘queen bee’ which designate power roles. In the animal kingdom, males fight for mating rights. Whichever male is the most physically powerful is considered the dominate male and wins mating rights.

We can see how some average people and world leaders vye for power which many times leads to the abuse of power. The word power begins with the letter ‘p’ as do quite a few powerful positions. A little note that may be of interest, I was watching a video a while back by Tania Gabrielle, Numerologist/Astrologer, on her Youtube channel who noted how the letter ‘p’ begins a lot of status words such as president, pope, pastor, principal, physician, etc.

Beware of Power Play Pitfalls

The drive for power is not just relegated to those obviously in powerful positions such as politicians (yet another power ‘p’ word) and world leaders but is evident in all of us and a lot of times necessarily so. For instance, if a child is facing potential danger and a parent commands that child to ‘stop’ to avoid harm, parental power is a good thing protecting the child from impending danger.

However, the behavior of those who want to have power over others solely for the advancement of their own personal objectives without any thought or consideration of others, could be considered ruthless.

The planetary energies of Pluto, the power planet, is best utilized for the evolution of the masses as opposed to purely personal gain.

With this Venus square to Pluto astrological aspect, it may be tempting for some to use this energy for personal gain. This is something to be aware of in order to avoid uncomfortable or even hostile encounters. If you find yourself entering into an avoidable power struggle, it may be best to let it go especially if it is a small, inconsequential matter.

Let us focus on the uplifting earth energy resonating with Mercury and Pluto. Since this easy flowing trine aspect between them lasts about two weeks, it gives us some time to focus our thoughts on transforming the negative into positive, the repulsive into beauty and hatred into love.

GEMiNi ♊: WHAT’S ON YOUR MiND?💡 👁 the video to find out

A breath of fresh air…

As I note my thoughts in this writing, Gemini Season is beginning as the Sun 🌞 ingresses into Gemini May 20th. Also the Sun is making a flowing aspect, trine, to Pluto and on May 21st, Mercury Retrograde meets at the same point in the sky as the Sun, which is known as Cazimi.

These are much lighter energies than we have been experiencing with the recent eclipses. The sun moving into Gemini is like a breath of fresh air. This is what is so interesting about following the movement of the celestial bodies: there are cycles within cycles.

For instance, the echoing verve of the recent eclipses in Taurus and Scorpio is still present. The nodes, north inTaurus, and the south node in Scorpio with Saturn in Aquarius are still in a stressful T-square but yet, we can still feel the refreshing breeze of Gemini and other uplifting influences.

As a mutable air sign, the Gemini archetype is talkative, sociable, quick-witted, playful, curious, chatty, gossipy, superficial, likes to get up and go, neighborly and seems to be ‘in-the-know’ about family members and the community. Since these natives enjoy communicating with others, they have access to a plethora of bits of information.

Want to know what happened to Mr. Smith’s wrecked car parked in his driveway? Just ask the neighborhood Gemini. When is the neighborhood ice cream parlor going to re-open? Just ask the neighborhood Gemini. They know what celebrities are getting married/divorced, what insurance companies offer the most economic rates and what neighborhoods have the best rent deals. It’s amazing how much information Geminis hold in their brains. I have witnessed Geminis like this firsthand.

However, the Gemini archetype is not known to be a deep-dive research energy so you have to take what is communicated with a grain of salt. The facts could be accurate but possibly not.

Thinking It Over-Revisit and Review

The planetary rulership of Gemini is Mercury which happens to be retrograde until June 3rd. Mercury goes retrograde at least three times a year for a retrograde length of about three weeks. Even a person who knows nothing about Astrology, knows something about Mercury retrograde.

Some Astrologers advise being very careful at this time while others suggest simply proceeding with caution. It’s difficult to say how every person should approach Mercury retrograde because it depends on the individual’s astrological chart and what zodiac sign the Mercury retrograde is occurring in.

However, if you have not had your birth chart cast and do not know how the Mercury retrograde is impacting your chart, at any rate, it’s probably good advice to proceed with caution. Be careful signing contracts. Have an attorney assist you if you can. Make sure you pay attention to even the smallest details: all ‘i’s’ are dotted and ’t’s’ are crossed.

Actually, Mercury retrograde is a good time to go within. When Mercury retrogrades, it doesn’t actually go backwards but it appears that it does from our perspective here on earth. It seems that Mercury goes back over territory it already traversed so the implications for us would be to review our thoughts and ideas.

If you are thinking about leaving a job, starting or ending a relationship, starting a new business or moving to another part of the country, Mercury retrograde could be a good time to write down the pros and cons and to meditate on the subject.

Of course, if there is an urgent matter, you need to act but if you have the opportunity to ruminate on big changes, do so.

For the next month, during Gemini Season, take advantage of the light-hearted fun this season can bring. This is the beauty of knowing the astrological forecasts, we can follow the cycles and know that no matter how difficult a cycle may be, it doesn’t last forever.

Gemini Season says don’t take everything so seriously. Take a well-deserved break from repetitive, nagging thoughts running through your head over and over: relax, kick up your feet, have a cool lemonade and think about it tomorrow or the next day 😎

OUR CROSS ✝️ TO BEAR

Living our best lives…

As I note my thoughts in this writing, we are in Mercury Retrograde Season, Jupiter has ingressed into the zodiac sign of Aries and we have an approaching total lunar eclipse in Scorpio May 15th at 7:28 p.m., PT. The universe is in perpetual motion. However, the Nodes Of Destiny/Karma remain in Taurus , north node, and Scorpio, south node.

The north and south nodes travel together in pairs. The north and south nodes are always exactly opposite each other, 180 degrees apart, and remain in their respective signs for about eighteen months as they move into different signs. We humans being of physical composition, ideally need time to realize, comprehend and process change. Eighteen months is not a lot of time but an ample amount of  time for us to become aware of the need for change.

I do not think it is a coincidence that we have the nodes in fixed signs along with Saturn. Let’s think about it, Taurus, where the north node is currently residing, is about personal needs. At the very minimum, we need air, water and food to sustain life. Scorpio, the present position of the south node, is about shared resources. The other power player at this time is Saturn in Aquarius. Aquarius is about the group, the collective. When you consider the fourth fixed sign of Leo (many natives have Leo placements in our charts and we will have planet transits in Leo during the current node placements), the sign of creativity and leadership, it seems there is a message that the Universe is sending us.

The leaders and citizens of the world need to come together as a group to improve the ecosystem of the planet, our shared resource, in order to sustain life as we know it.

This is a very important time in our evolutionary history, personally and universally. It starts with each individual but inevitably encompasses us all.

The Signposts

The transpersonal planets are especially important and have been highlighted for some time now. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are all weighing in. The exact squares between Saturn in Capricorn with Uranus in Aries in 2021 had us looking at what parts of society’s government needed to change as opposed to our individual’s rights. Jupiter and Neptune joining forces this year in April in the sign of Pisces, which hadn’t happened in over 150 years, seemed to remind us that in the midst of all the changes in the physical world, spirituality may not feed our bellies but is needed to feed our souls and informs us that we can not only survive the upheaval but we have a means to thrive by uplifting the physicality of our material world.

All of us living in these times, are here for a reason; there are no accidents. We all have a role to play both personally and globally.

This year with the nodes in fixed signs squared by Saturn in a fixed sign, change is now and we can no longer afford to hold on to what does not take us into the humanitarian Age of Aquarius. Just imagine what the world would be like if we nursed our planet to health and there were no more war… This would be incredible and it’s possible.

2020’s Saturn, Pluto conjunction, The Great Conjunction tag team of Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius, no less, the pandemic and so many other celestial aspects seem to be signaling us to do what we came here to do: embrace our cross.

In Astrology, the angles: first, fourth, seventh and tenth houses form a cross. It’s interesting the angles forming the cross: the first house, east across to the west’s 7th house forms the horizontal axis. The 10th house apex of the chart to the fourth house, depths of the chart, forms the vertical axis so we are born into the energies of the cross.

Taking It On

I do not see the cross we bear as something negative or positive; it just is. When we are born, separated from the warmth of the womb, we take on the work of bearing the cross. Living physical lives is the cross we bear. The term, “cross to bear”, is usually referenced as something negative and can rightfully connote negativity as it is related to Jesus carrying the weight of his cross to his crucifixion.

But it also means taking on what we call life. Once we are born, we are not only separated from our mother but we have a whole role to assume: sustain our own life, figure out our position in our family, establish relationships with other people, earn a living, define who we are: a parent, a spouse, a teacher, politician, healer, who we are recognized as being, etc, and ultimately what our legacy will be.

How do we transform our individual selves and humanity during this period of evolution?

Astrology is a practice that helps us to understand who we are, physically, philosophically, spiritually which opens us up to see beyond just what is in front of us but Astrology bathes us in the cosmic flow of the universe.

Yes, we all have a cross to bear living life but Earth endows us with beauty a plenty. You might equate our cross to bear with Saturn, the heavy planet there to remind us of our responsibility and Venus helps remind us of all the love and beauty life has to offer. It is interesting to note that Saturn is exalted in Venus’s sign of Libra ♎, the sign of the scales, balance.

Let’s make Saturn proud and live up to the promise of humanity diligently tending to its duties faithfully as compassionate stewards; all the while the charms of Venus enchants us with the tenderness of her love and beauty emanating from our hearts.

Let us consciously work towards building Utopia, we can.

Let’s Go!
