👁 Video: GEMS: YOU, ME and MERCURY ☿️

Sometimes it’s fun to keep it light and breezy…

As I am noting my thoughts in this writing, there is a full moon in the zodiac sign of Gemini. The planet, Mercury has its domains in the signs of Gemini and Virgo; Mercury feels at home in these signs and of course, Mercury would have two homes, which makes for more opportunities to party and have fun.

Mercury, the messenger of the gods in Roman mythology and the planet residing closest to the ruler of our solar system, the sun, is also the fastest moving planet in our solar system. Therefore, he has the speed to deliver all of his messages. Mercury’s nickname is “quicksilver”.

Gemini, the third sign on the astrological mandala, is a mutable, air sign. Mutable making it changeable and being in the element of air, concerns itself with thoughts and communications.

Gemini is associated with twins as this sign has a dual nature. In ancient Roman religion and myth, Janus, who has two faces, one looking backwards and one looking forwards, is the god of beginnings, gates, transitions, time, duality, doorways, passages, frames, and endings.

The month of January is named for Janus and appropriately so. As we close out one year and look towards beginning a fresh, new year, we often make resolutions in order to implement improvements in our lives for the coming year. In doing so, we take stock of the ending year while looking forward to our futures.

The moon relates to our emotions so a full moon would have the tendency to make one even more emotional. The degree of emotionality and the manner in which it is displayed relates back to the sign the moon is in.

Gemini being naturally a cerebral sign, tends to be less emotional than moon-ruled Cancer, a cardinal, water sign whose Cancer natives can be overflowing with emotions.

A full moon in Gemini could make us more talkative, restless, active, nervous, witty, flighty, and mercurial. In our 3-D world, we constantly deal with the duality of our reality; everything has an opposite: day/night, left/right, summer/winter, black/white, male/female, negative/positive and so on. Gemini is a perfect example of this duality.

Gemini natives can be charming, sociable, in-the-know, intelligent, flexible, adaptable, and communicative. With these characteristics, Geminis make for perfect party attendees. If you want to have a lively party, make sure to include Geminis.

On the other hand, they do have a shadow side as do all zodiac signs. Geminis can be very gossipy, undependable and two-faced (which is not so much two-faced in a malicious sense of the descriptive, two-faced, but just because they are “puritans” when it comes to the dissemination of information).

With a full moon in Gemini, be careful of what you say, believe half of what you hear and always investigate for yourself. Gemini natives can be superficial but they are engaging and know how to have fun.
