LiTTLE ACTS OF KiNDNESS ✨ CAN CHANGE THE 🌎… ☮ ❤❤❤
THE LiTTLE THiNGS ARE REALLY THE BiG THiNGS…
“Little Acts Of Kindness”: amidst the coldness of winter, we celebrate the spirit of the holidays by giving. Now and throughout the year, let’s give the heart-warming gift that never wears out or becomes outdated…kindness~from the Harte
A friend of mine once told me that his mother always told him to ‘be nice’. Being nice is being polite which is important as it promotes civility.
However being kind is deeper. Being kind is being not only considerate but generous and caring. Kindness is a special sort of gentleness displayed by the way in which you speak to and treat others. Kindness is not limited to just people but animals show acts of kindness as well.
Kindness denotes being tender hearted. If one is kind, it does not mean that you are weak. One of my mother’s favorite sayings was a warning to beware of some people who might exploit kindness saying: “people can take kindness for weakness”. On the contrary, she knew kindness demonstrates strength of character and a reserve of generosity.
Being kind fits the saying: “do unto others as you would have others do unto you”. It takes a strong person to look out for more than just self. It’s easier to tend to your own needs than to consider the needs of those around you; it takes an inner fortitude and a tender heart to be genuinely concerned about the well-being of others.
A demonstration of kindness doesn’t have to be grandiose. It can just be little acts like holding the door open for the next person, letting a driver switch lanes in front of you, giving words of encouragement when someone is sad, getting that top shelf item at the grocery store for someone who can’t reach it or saying, “I’m sorry and meaning it”, etc.
Just the word kindness evokes a certain tenderness. It’s funny how words take on their own frequency/vibration. Is this because words accurately describe how we are actually feeling or do words, after being used so often to describe how we feel, take on a resonance of that quality?
A person can be taught to be polite but can you be taught to be kind? Kindness comes from the heart and with its every beat sustains our very physical existence. Perhaps also along with every heart beat, there is a sort of indigenous, ethereal kindness pulsating through our bodies connecting us collectively heartbeat to heartbeat… written by ~from the Harte 🤜🏽⚡🤛🏽
