Watch Video: Pluto iN Leo ♌ Baby Boomers Facing Pluto iN Aquarius ♒

THE FACE OFF OF A GENERATION

We look forward to the new year and in deed the new year is celebrated all over the world. At the stroke of midnight, we greet the incoming year by partying, popping a bottle of bubbly, watching the new year countdown, kissing a loved one or friend or just by enjoying a quiet evening at home but hopefully we herald in the new year cheerfully and optimistically.
This is how baby boomers have celebrated the new year for decades. Baby boomers are the generation born 1946 to 1964. With Pluto residing in Leo from 1938 to 1957, we have witnessed the results of Pluto in the zodiac sign of Leo, arguably the most creative and dramatic of all zodiac signs. So it is no surprise that boomers can be theatrical and tend to have a strong will, confidence, enthusiasm, pride, and creativity. These characteristics are demonstrated by their “I can accomplish anything I set my mind to” approach to life. They also are extremely imaginative as evidenced by the worldwide expansion of the now yearly multi-billion dollar revenue of the entertainment industries.
The actual term “baby boomer” was coined in response to a spike in birth rates after World War II. As a staggering 3.4 Million babies were born in just one year, 1946, resulted in more babies being born than ever before in the history of the United States. These statistics should not be surprising considering Leo is not only known for its creativity but pro-creativity as well.
Baby boomers are a very proud and regal generation. Instinctively knowing the appearance of power can be just as important as actually having power which may account for their holding on to their youthful agility longer than any other generation prior to their time. This youthful longevity owes thanks to some for adopting healthy diet and fitness habits while others have been aided by a little nip and tuck here and there.
Although the mindset of the word ‘teenager’ had come into being in the early 1900s, it was not until the 1940s, in reference to the growing numbers of boomers, that the word teenager came to be more well known as we refer to it today.
With the dawning of 2024, Pluto will be in the zodiac sign of Aquarius for the whole of the year except for a couple of months later in the year. The sun ignites Pluto’s ingress into Aquarius as both the sun and Pluto enter Aquarius January 21, 2024. Pluto’s coupling with the sun gives it a mighty entré into Aquarius with Pluto remaining in Aquarius until 2024.
Aquarius has been called by some Astrologers as the polar opposite of Leo however, I prefer to conceptualize that Leo and Aquarius complement one another: Leo being concerned with self-empowerment and Aquarius with group empowerment.
Which brings me to wonder how will Pluto in Aquarius effect the Pluto in Leo baby boomers who are now at the ages of between 77 years and 59 years old. Although the boomers are aging, they still hold massive amounts of power. Aquarius resonates with the planet, Uranus, a planet associated with technology, science and inventions that serve the masses.
For most of their lives, boomers were accustomed to more human-oriented contacts such as dialing 4-1-1 and having a live operator dutifully answer their questions; boomers could speak to real people at companies as opposed to automated menus of messages; boomers could also have waiters bring a restaurant order directly to their cars, these waiters were known as carhops. When attending a movie at the local movie theater, the theater usher would escort boomers to their seats and if it were dark, guide them to their individual seats with flashlights. Everyday interactions were more personal and person-centered.
Nowadays, everyday interactions such as those described above are less personal and more technological as we are now in the age of cell phones, laptops and websites with AI (Artificial Intelligence) upon us which is positioned to cause even more revolutionary changes in our everyday lives.
Natives born with Pluto in Leo definitely have already made big changes in their lives and many have acclimated well to today’s world but some have experienced discomfort adjusting to the “advancements”. And what about the Leos with more than just Pluto in Leo? What about the natives born with other planets in Leo such as sun, moon, Mercury, Venus, asteroids or other significant points and/or placements?
A possible stellium alignment with three or more planets in Leo sitting across from Pluto in Aquarius could present as a tug of war: Leo facing the fact that its individuality now gives way to the powerful pull of Pluto in Aquarius, the sign of the collective. The challenge will be for Leos to adjust by finding a middle ground which integrates both ‘me’ and ‘we’ into a more enriched state of being by using the uniqueness of me to better the we as a whole. Seemingly, isn’t this what is called for in The Age of Aquarius?
How will the Pluto in Leo boomers fare up to the ‘one for all’ versus “all for one” mentality’?
This push and pull of Leo and Aquarius heightened by possible multiple Leo planets in the native’s astrology chart could be life changing. Pluto is the planet of deep transformation. Pluto in Aquarius facing Pluto in Leo will be interesting, to say the least, to observe how it plays out.
Although Millennials, also known as Generation Y, and Generation Z are making their mark on society, baby boomers still hold the reigns of power directing most of the world affairs today.
How will boomers react to the upcoming Pluto in Leo/Pluto in Aquarius axis and how will that reaction affect the world order?
The vibration of Aquarius reverberates even louder as we firmly enter The Age of Aquarius. On December 21, 2020, The Great Conjunction encompassing the planetary pair, Jupiter and Saturn, joined forces within a tenth of a degree of each other in the sign of Aquarius further echoing the clarion call of our transition into The Age Of Aquarius.
On this January 21, 2024, it does not seem to be a coincidence that the sun, our most powerful giver of life, is escorting Pluto into Aquarius for this most momentous event.
The fate of the world is not totally out of our hands; we all have an impact on our global destiny. We are co-creators in this expansive universe therefore, we are directly responsible for creating the conditions of our reality. When we fully embrace our part in constructing our reality, that our reality is not just something happening to us, we as the collective, can truly create the world in which we want to live our lives now and into the future.
Let’s Go!
