THE UPLiFTiNG FREQUENCY ⚡ OF FLOWERS 🌺🌹💐
Venus and flowers go hand in hand…
As I am noting my thoughts, it is Valentine’s weekend. This is auspicious timing for this day of love as Venus, Goddess of Love and Beauty, is in a tight squeeze with Mars. Although Mars is known as the God of War, he is also known as the fiery spark that initiates action. And right now, he is the sign of Capricorn where his power is exalted. These two pairing up at this time, could make for not only a powerful Valentine’s Day but week.
Here in the U.S., we also have the Super Bowl, a huge football sporting event. More than likely, with Venus and Mars huddling up together, there will be a lot of serious human-to-human contact and not necessarily just on the football field.
Valentine’s Day is so symbolic of Venus. On this day, we enjoy chocolates, all types of sweets, love notes and kisses; it’s a day to celebrate our sweethearts. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a romantic connection although romance is highlighted on this day as Cupid is very busy shooting his arrows of amor. There will be romantic, candlelit dinners, flowing champagne and adoring couples calling out: “sugar’, “honey”, “baby” and maybe there will even be a “loverboy” thrown in amongst this mix of auditory vocatives.
Valentine’s Day allows us to be all mushy inwardly and outwardly.
But Valentine’s Day occurs in the sign of Aquarius which is actually a less personal zodiac sign and more of a sign that has to do with community, the collective. The archetype of Aquarius represents socially conscience humanitarians concerned about the plight of their fellow citizens. Yes, there is caring though not focused specifically on the personal, one-on-one level but on the societal level. The word altruistic comes to mind.
The fact that on Valentine’s day, we acknowledge the special people in our personal lives, doesn’t minimize how we celebrate the day because at this time, we are less self-consumed reaching out to others to let them know how much they mean to us. It’s when our focus is less about self and more about others. Relating, reinforcing and building bonds are extremely important.
And of course on this day, we give flowers, mostly long-stemmed red roses but all kinds of flowers. Flowers aren’t selfish; they share rainbows of vibrant colors and fresh fragrances that excite our senses. Flowers are apropos for this occasion and do Venus proud.
Once a flower blooms, it gives freely of itself until wilting back from where it came.
No matter whether in a cultivated nursery or springing wild from a fissure in the earth,
it does not hold back its beauty
but beguiles us with a vision of majestic reverie.
Venus, Valentine’s Day and Flowers go hand in hand.
